How WGPC Members Can Share Photos with All Wadswick Green Residents

Creating Google Photos Albums for Publication on the Residents’ Website

Several of you frequently take photographs of village events — concerts, casino evenings, concerts, gardening club outings, or general life around Wadswick Green.  Many ask the same question:

“How can I share my photos with the wider village — not just WGPC members?”

The simplest and most effective method is to create a Google Photos album and let me, as the Website Editor, embed it directly into the Residents’ Website.

All residents can then view the images easily on any device, without needing to join WGPC or install any apps.

This guide explains exactly what you need to do.

1. Create a Google Photos Album

We use Google Photos because it works well with Apple, Android, Windows and is compatible with Lightroom/Photoshop workflows, as explained in our sharing PDF .

To create your album:

  1. Visit https://photos.google.com - or open your Google Photos App

  2. Select AlbumsCreate album

  3. Give the album a clear event title, such as:

    • Casino Evening – 2025

    • Summer Music Night

    • WG Christmas Fair

  4. Click Select photos and choose your images

  5. Press Done

You can continue adding photos at any time.

2. Set the Album to Shareable

For your album to be published on the Residents’ Website, it needs a share link.

  1. Open your album

  2. Click Share (top right)

  3. Select Create link

  4. Copy the link and send it to me.  I will then build the post on the residents news blog. I will combine albums if several people submit photos for the same event.
