U3A Group

Lennie Almond and Brenda Beeton were both members of a U3A Bath discussion group and found it wonderfully stimulating and sociable. We wondered if there would be sufficient interest here at Wadswick to begin a similar group.

We used to meet monthly, and the meetings lasted about one and a half hours. We took it in turns to select a topic and do some background research to open the discussion. We also had a chairperson to ensure everyone had a chance to speak if they wished. Topics included the state of the NHS, Brexit, Poverty in the UK, the role of the Monarchy, climate change and much more.
