Taking More, Taking Better Photographs
The Wadswick Green Photography Club aims are quite simple and are encapsulated in the headline above.
To take more photographs, and
To increase the quality of the photographs we take.
The club does not focus on equipment and caters for all types of camera from mobile phone/tablet to high end “traditional” cameras.
We meet once a month for a few hours and cycle between”
indoor meetings for constructive criticism, discussion
Practical workshops, and
Local field trips.
Members are encouraged to upload their best photos at any time and we try to generate discussion, comments and questions throughout the month. To support this, the club has a weekly newsletter email, a blog (see below) with hints and tips, and a portfolio gallery.
The photography club meets:
On the 4th Wednesday of each month usually from 1030 - 1230 but timings for outings will vary according to the destination.

Club Activity
Weekly Newsletter Email
We have a weekly news and hints email to maintain contact and encourage photo taking. It acts as a reminder and planning tool for our upcoming activities. It often contains links to articles that may be of interest to our clubmembers.
The Club Blog
We publish an occasional blog with longer articles than can be sent as emails. Topics are varied and include photo skills, project updates, IT skills hints, online security and featured photographers.
Photo Sharing
Photo sharing is a core part of any photography club. Seeking the opinions of our peers adds to our development as photographers; we learn what works and what does not work. Everyone is encouraged to upload their best photos during the month and to comment on their own and other people's photos. The aim is to encourage dialogue and maintain interest in photography throughout the month, not just at meetings. It is not as active as I have hoped, so please feel free to add comments and ask questions.
We use Google Photos (via the web on computers or using dedicated apps on mobile devices) to share photos as it works across Windows, Android and Apple devices and is simpler than other photo sharing applications. (From Nov 2026) A shared album is created and used each month. The link to that album is circulated via email.
