Walking at Wadswick Green

There are two walking groups at Wadswick Green, both offer a chance to discover our beautiful county while getting exercise, having a good chat and maybe picking up on some interesting gossip!!

  • The first is weekly and is organised by Malcolm Jennings The walks are not more than 4 miles and, as far as weather permits, are on footpaths which can be uneven and which may involve climbing over stiles. Most walks start and end at Wadswick but occasionally Wadswick transport may take us slightly further afield for a walk back to the Greenhouse. We meet at 10.00 on a Friday morning outside the Greenhouse.  Now that we have a bus service, trips can include a ride into Corsham (don’t forget your bus pass!)

  • The second is a monthly walk and is organised by Jenny Gray.  This is a longer walk - up to 8 miles and again travels along footpaths and tracks. Wiltshire is a hilly county so some climbs and descents are inevitable but the effort is always rewarded by lovely views and a sense of achievement. The photos accompanying this are from our last walk which was a 6 mile circular route beginning in Castle Combe and as you can see, travelling through some lovely countryside.

I hope that this inspires you to join us as we tramp around Wiltshire. If you are interested or need more info about either group. Please contact Jenny Gray using her contact details from the Village Directory or by using the contact form at the bottom of this page.
