Groups/Clubs

An updated Health & Wellbeing calendar was issued dated January 2024. Thanks to Sue Warren for starting the new watercolour classes twice a month. There’s been a lot of interest. Thanks also to Annette and Joan for their floristry.

Anyone can suggest an idea for a group, then find like-minded people, who can then decide who runs it.

School Reading

Lennie Almond volunteers at Bathford Primary School, reading with Year 3 children on a weekly basis. The school is under resourced, as are all schools are in the state sector. Is there anyone who might like to offer a couple of hours a week to Bathford School to read with children from different classes?

Recycling

We have been asked about recycling small electrical items. Small electrical items are already handed in to Reception who store them until there are sufficient to take to the recycling centre.

Shelving for unwanted items that others could take. Or charity, or Freecycle, etc.

Is there anybody who would like to assist with this as we need to be careful any location does not become simply a place to dispose of unwanted items – please let us know.
