The Photography Club

Taking More Better Photographs!

The Wadswick Green Photography Club aims are quite simple and are encapsulated in the grammatically challenging headline above.

  • To take more photographs, and

  • To increase the quality of the photographs we take.

The club does not focus on equipment and caters for all types of camera from mobile phone/tablet to high end “traditional “cameras.

We meet once a month for a few hours and alternate between indoor meetings for constructive criticism, discussion and teaching/coaching and local field trips. For the rest of the month we have an online presence through this website, Google Photos and a weekly email and try to engender a bit of discussion in order to maintain and encourage members to take photographs.

The photography club meets:

  • Physically on the 4th Wednesday of each month at 1100. This meeting concentrates on “the art and science of photography”, i.e taking photographs. Every 2nd meeting will be a field trip and timings may vary due to travelling time

Members are encouraged to upload their best photos at any time and we try to generate discussion, comments and questions throughout the month. To support this, the club has a weekly newsletter email, a blog (see below) with hints and tips, and a portfolio gallery.

We encourage discussion on line (with varying degrees of success!).

See the calendar below for timings and, nearer the date, agendas.

Photography Club Blog

The club sends a weekly email to its members to encourage and inform and publishes an occasional “blog” for more in depth material that cannot be covered in an email. The most recent blog entries are summarised below, click on each cover picture to open them.
