Getting to Know Flickr
Flickr is now the Wadswick Green Photography Club’s online gallery for sharing and enjoying members’ photographs. To make getting started as easy as possible, I’ve produced four short illustrated guides covering everything you need to know in this first stage.
The guides explain why we’ve chosen Flickr, how to create a free account, how to upload your first photograph, and how to enjoy the Club Gallery. Remember, uploading directly to Flickr is only one way of sharing your photographs with the club. If you prefer, you can continue to send your photographs to me using Google Photos, email, AirDrop or another method, and I’ll add them to the Club Gallery for you.
The aim isn’t to become a Flickr expert—it’s to enjoy photography and make it easy for us to share our work with one another. Future guides will introduce commenting, favourites, Flickr Groups and other features as members become more confident.
